FACILITY DETAILS:
OBJECTIVES:
1. Lighting of the production area according to requirements of sanitary regulations and standards
2. Compliance with food production requirements
3. Minimum lighting level in the working area (1 m above the floor) - 200 lx
4. The lighting unit geometry shall fit the suspended sound absorbing ceiling of the premises
5. No pulsation
6. White flood light (5,000K)
7. Lighting modernization payback period - 2.5 years max.
8. Lamp replacement and disposal are not required
PROJECT FEATURES:
Before modernization, in 2004, 400W metal halide lamps were installed in the production premises, 36W fluorescent lamps were used for local lighting. Regular technical maintenance of the system with lamp replacement was required.
The objective was to fit the LED fixtures in the suspended sound absorbing ceiling at the height of 8.5 m and ensure the required lighting of workplaces in the premises filled with process equipment. TCO approach, that was new for the Customer, was used to select the solution.
RESULT:
After the facility commissioning we managed to achieve the following indicators:
- Lighting area, sq.m - 3,950
- The working area light level of 200 lx and above was achieved
- The power consumption for lighting of the premises reduced 2 times: from 13,000 kW*h to 6,500 kW*h a month
- Eye-comfortable light, no pulsation
- Project payback period – 2.2 years
