In recent years, the global trend for introduction of energy-saving technologies has been gaining momentum. Companies striving to get a competitive edge are no longer able to reduce production costs by traditional methods. In light of this, energy-saving technologies can increase the profitability of enterprises in many sectors of the economy.

The global crisis caused by the pandemic, and the resulting decline in the consumer demand caused a 3.5% drop in global GDP in 2020. Russia saw a milder GDP decrease last year — by 3.1%. However, the crisis has further exacerbated the problems in low-profit industries and enterprises.

Recently, the Delovaya Rossiya magazine and the Business of Russia portal published an article about the Enercom company, which covers these issues in particular.
The Enercom company experts are certain that if Russian enterprises put greater emphasis on energy-saving technologies in recent years, they would overcome crisis situations like the current one more easily.

The Government of the Russian Federation, the leadership of industry agencies, and a range of Russian enterprises share this view. Therefore, the plan to improve the country's energy efficiency, adopted back in 2009, was overhauled, updated and submitted to the Government of the Russian Federation for consideration precisely at the height of the pandemic — in August 2020.

Enercom supports this decision wholeheartedly, since the introduction of energy-saving technologies produces a quick and tangible economic effect. This is confirmed by heads of the enterprises partnering with Enercom.
In addition to the economic advantages, energy saving is important for reducing carbon emissions into the atmosphere. After all, thermal power plants remain one of the main sources of environmental pollution.

Those who believe that a crisis is inopportune time to introduce innovative lighting technologies are mistaken. Together with VTB Bank, Enercom has developed a unique energy factoring program that makes it possible to upgrade production without investing its own funds and pay for it using following savings.

The Enercom specialists are top experts in this field. The company has already implemented more than 400 energy saving systems. On average, our customers have achieved cost savings of more than 70% in each project.
To develop and implement highly efficient solutions, Enercom cooperates with the Russian Lighting Research Institute named after Sergey Vavilov (VNISI). The company is scaling up its projects for Russian enterprises.

For example, the modernization of the lighting systems in three primary workshops, carried out by Enercom at the Taganrog Metallurgical Plant will allow its owner, the TMK company, to save 168 million rubles per 360,000 sq. m annually. The project payback period is less than three years. The customer has fully realized the advantages of these high efficiency systems. As a result, the TMK management has decided to implement such a system at other plants.
